We’re getting close to Christmas, so that means we’re getting close to New Year’s resolutions. I don’t really make them, but I’m thinking maybe I should make one for 2020. I have lots on my to-do list with a new book releasing in May.
*I have to send in my cover questionnaire.
*I have to get my street team in place.
*I need to plan a book launch.
*I have to ramp up my marketing plan and actually execute it which means polishing blog posts connected with the new story for my own website, secure speaking opportunities, posting about the new book, and lots of other things that don’t come naturally to me.
I need to finish the next story which is kind of scary because I don’t know what happens after the first five chapters I’ve written.
I have lots to do with the non-author side of my life, too.
*I want to keep up with my children who’ll be living all over the United States.
*I have to keep caring for my parents and my great aunt who made me her attorney-in-fact last year.
*I need to make sure my husband isn’t pushed to a back burner.
My head begins to spin when I think of this list and all the details that go with each bullet point and the responsibilities I have that didn’t make the list. I think the best resolution I can make is to PRAY BIG. Praying big means to pray outside my regular box.
The God I worship is God of the universe Who hung the stars in place and calls each one by name. He weighs the dust of the earth on a balance. He’s the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills. He can do more than I can imagine or believe. He’s a big God Who can handle big prayers.
Praying big also means praying often, praying unceasingly. The only way I can manage the above list is to keep in constant contact with the One Who gave me this writing dream and my spectacular family and Who’s helped me on every single step.
PRAY BIG. That’s my New Year’s Resolution for 2020! What’s yours?
