I’ve read all 3 of the books in the True Blue Mysteries, and this is the best yet. I read a lot of mysteries, and I usually figure out who the perpetrator is. But NOT this time! Campbell McBride (nicknamed Soup) and her father Bill of Murray, KY, have moved into a historic home. Their business offices for True Blue Investigations are on the first floor with living quarters on 2nd floor. They get to know their neighbors and find some are involved with a local psychic, Miss Tryphenia (not her real name). Sam Truman is from Missouri, and he’s “selling” an investment to many people in town. There’s a connection between Sam and Tryphenia. The McBrides think they are possibly bilking their respective customers. The police get interested when neighbor, Miss Vera, has her home broken into. That’s bad—but her Persian Blue cat, who never goes outside, gets out, too. The McBrides, their employee Nick, and Campbell’s love interest (police detective, Keith) try to figure it out. Lots of characters and lots of clues in this mystery.
Great story, truly a puzzle for mystery lovers.
