Finding Purpose after Broken Dreams

As a top WASP pilot, Grace Bauer loves to fly and dreams of becoming a commercial pilot after WW2. When she is dismissed from WASP after she contracts rheumatic fever, Grace struggles to find her purpose in life and a way to serve her country in the midst of war. She has made some unwise decisions that have made her think she is unworthy of God’s love and the love of a good man, Mac McAlister, who wants to marry her. I recommend Rose Harbor if you like historical fiction, especially set during WW2, and romance. I believe Rose Harbor works well as a stand alone novel, but I think reading the other three Safe Refuge novels that come before would have made the story even more interesting.
