Don’t Ask Me To Leave made me cry. It truly could be a Hallmark movie! Nadine is a “bigger than life”, almost unbelievable character. Because of her strength, she is the epitome of “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We see Christians like her and wonder how they overcome. She is the biblical “Ruth” in this story, and like Ruth — her strength came from her faith. The historical element of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and the Adena Indians was an added plus to the book. Loved it! We witness unbelievable tragedy in the untimely death of some characters in the book, which allows us to see Christian strength emerge from Beau and Rachel, who are broken with grief, as they learn to deal with tragedy.
