Under This Same Sky is a sweet, heartwarming story that I thoroughly loved from the start!
Becky and her father emerge from sudden loss realizing that all they have is one another. Along with their battered faith in a God who allowed it. A young pastor, Matthew Brody, gently shepherds them through their grief, hoping to help them get a fresh start. His feelings for Becky, however, begin changing as time and distance separate them. Still grieving and wrestling with her bruised faith, Becky also must come to terms with her feelings for Matthew. And God.
I loved all of the characters, all the way from the prairie to the streets of St. Louis. Cynthia Roemer demonstrates how God’s Providence makes every friendship a blessing. So much of Under This Same Sky reminded me of when I first fell in love with reading Janette Oke’s books as a teenager. I’ll be reading book 2 soon!
