Terri Wangard grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during the Lombardi Glory Years, but didn’t appreciate the Packers until she moved away.
Libraries have always held a special place in her heart. She has fond memories of visiting Green Bay’s North Branch library, and looking for Maj Lindman’s Flicka, Ricka, and Dicka books. She scribbled stories in a notebook (fortunately, not saved) and her first Girl Scout badge was the Writer. No surprise, she has a master’s degree in library science.
She lives in Wisconsin, where her research for her first WWII series included going for a ride in a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber. The series, published in 2016, features B-17 navigators and the women they fell in love with. Terri has also written a novel about the Lusitania, far more interesting than the Titanic, and a companion novel set in World War I.
Classic Boating Magazine, a family business since 1984, keeps her busy as an associate editor. The American Christian Fiction Writers also keeps her busy. She has been a local chapter treasurer, a category coordinator in both First Impressions and Genesis, and now First Impressions Contest Coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys bicycling, traveling, genealogy, seashell art, and cross stitch.
