Before the story opens, an accident has claimed the lives of the Thomas sisters’ parents, and the three girls struggle to remain together and keep the younger two out of the foster system. The challenge comes when the eldest is accused of a crime, and Jess, the middle girl, takes it upon herself to “help” the police find the truth.
Jess is a character most people can identify with. She’s brave and daring, yet insecure and full of doubt at times. To survive, she must learn who to trust — including God.
Although the main character of this book is a teenager, this fast-paced mystery set in the beautiful state of Montana is an enjoyable read no matter what your age.
