In her contemporary romance novel Saving Grace, author Amy Anguish starts the story off with a bang—literally—when the main character is involved in a serious car wreck. Injured and reeling after the accident, Michelle Wilson learns the collision left an infant orphaned. She then sets out on a mission to give the baby girl a home—hers.
The thing I liked the most about this story is its real-life backdrop. Not only does Michelle struggle in the uphill battle of single-parent adoption, she deals with relocating, new job stress, strained relationships with her best friend and her parents, and dodging darts flung at her faith—situations most readers can identify with.
If you enjoy best-friend romances, stories set in rural America, or characters who face life head-on without backing down, then you’ll likely enjoy reading Saving Grace.
