Decades ago, a man told Lana Christian that her writing was a sword and told her to keep wielding it. The comment galvanized why she wrote.
Words can change the world—especially when applied for good.
Her winding path to faith-based novels started with twenty years of writing as a clinician, educator, and marketing liaison in a statewide healthcare system. When her father was diagnosed with an incurable cancer, Lana shifted to freelance medical writing, which required becoming an ace at research. Writing for an inner-city ministry nurtured her love for digging deep into Scripture. Then she dove into writing courses in earnest. Five years later, God showed Lana it was time to write faith-based novels.
Lana’s passion lies in connecting the dots between the Bible and history to create authentic scenes and craft characters that come alive in those settings. Along similar lines, she also writes a biweekly devotional blog, “Encouragement from Living History.”
Lana’s debut book, New Star, releases Q4 of 2024. It’s the first in her biblical fiction series, “The Magi’s Encounters.”
Lana loves mountains, secret staircases, third-story windows, jazz, and chai tea. She believes hiking and common sense can solve most problems, but only God can solve every problem. Connect with her on www.lanachristian.com or on Twitter: @LanaCwrites.
