Our January 2025 Reader Challenge BINGO card refers to many themes and special events celebrated during January. Not only is it the first month, but January launches a new year, so several squares are “new” or “first” related. Winter-related themes and events are also common during January. Chinese New Year (1/29) is pretty well-known, but other not-so-well-known special occasions referred to in this month’s reader challenge list include:
- Has a Rebellious Character (1/17 – Ditch New Years Resolutions Day)
- Hot Tea (National Hot Tea Month)
- Bird on the Cover (1/5 – National Bird Day)
- Pet in the Story (1/14 – Dress Up Your Pet Day)
- Dragon on the Cover (1/16 – Appreciate a Dragon Day)
- People Hugging on the Cover (1/21 – National Hugging Day)
- Married Couple Romance (1/26 – National Spouses Day)
- Workplace Romance (1/28 – National Fun at Work Day – International Fun at Work Day is April 1st)
- Character Who Is an Artist (1/31 -Inspire Your Heart with Art Day)
- Fairy Tale (1/13 Make Your Dream Come True Day)
- Houseplant on the Cover (1/10 – National Houseplant Appreciation Day)
- Includes Letter Writing (Letter Writing Week – begins the second week of January)
- Has a Peculiar Character (1/10 – Peculiar People Day)
- Has a Skeptical Character (International Skeptics Day – First Friday in January but also celebrated on October 13)
How to play:
- Please only count books read during January 2025
- Make a BINGO either across, down, or diagonally using the official January 2025 Scrivenings Press BINGO card (posted below)
- Go to the January 2025 Reader Challenge entry page (https://scrivenings.link/readingchallenge)
- Enter using your email address
- Answer the question by listing the books you read to make your BINGO
PLEASE NOTE: Only entries from the official entry form will be counted. Do not leave a comment on this post or on any social media posts about this contest–your entry won’t count. However, you may make comments about which books you found that meet the criteria in the BINGO card, if you want to help other players, but those comments will not constitute an entry into the drawing.
