Heather Greer fell in love with stories as a child and knew she wanted to become an author “when she grew up”. Exposure to Christian fiction greats, from junior high through adulthood, encouraged and shaped that passion, as did her faith.
As a preacher’s kid, born and raised in southern Illinois, Heather Greer was well acquainted with ministry life even before becoming a pastor’s wife. Heather has served in children, teen, and women’s ministries throughout her adult life.
Though many years were primarily spent in teen ministry, God has used her writing to shift her focus to women and writers. In addition to writing, Heather has been blessed with podcasting opportunities, serving as the Assistant Producer for both the award-winning, Your Best Writing Life and Staying Real About Faith and Family podcasts. She also co-hosts Staying Real About Faith and Family.
Currently, Heather is enjoying an empty nest, as it gives her more time to focus on her writing, her duties as a Scrivenings Press Acquisitions Editor, and the needs of both podcasts.
Heather’s book Grasping Hope is a 2020 Selah Awards finalist in the Women’s Contemporary category. Cake That! is the third place finalist in the 2022 Selah Awards in the Contemporary Romance category. Her Historical Romance, Window of Opportunity, is a 2024 Selah Awards finalist.
