I was blessed to have the opportunity to read this book early–months before its release–because I was helping Hope develop a book-marketing plan.
The first thing that intrigued me about Forever Music was the title. Hope will tell you she wasn’t initially sold on that title, but it stuck, and I believe it fits the story. While I prefer suspense or mystery to contemporary romance, I really enjoyed this book. Hope is an excellent writer, and she brings her characters to life.
One of the things I’ve disliked about some “sweet romances” that I’ve read is contrived conflict. Couples arguing or breaking up for no real reason other than the fact the authors know there must be “conflict” to make the story interesting. Fake conflict doesn’t make a good story. But real conflict does, and Forever Music has some great conflict. Without any spoilers, I’ll let you know this book includes characters who harbor secrets as well as a forbidden love element. It’s such a good story! I hope you enjoy it.
