Summer at Caroling Creek

Travel writer Mylze Moore (pronounced Miles), of the popular travel website mylzemooretogo.com, lives to travel. Her life in the city is one of convenience: easy access to the airport, and by extension, the world. She’s happy traveling on her own, but something is missing. Now that she’s been grounded by her publisher, her bank account balance is dwindling and her sister is pressuring her to find a *real* job. When the sisters inherit their aunt’s lake cabin, Mylze thinks her problems are solved. A quick sale, split the profits, and she’ll be back in the air.

Meddlesome contractor Jeff Matthews has other ideas. Aunt Carol’s cabin is a construction zone, and must be renovated before Mylze can sell it. Mylze needs to make this process as quick and cheap as possible, and she doesn’t need a man to do it. Her DIY attitude lands her in more than a few small catastrophes, and she must turn to the only professional in town for help: Jeff. Sparks fly as they figure out how to work together on the project. But sparks can ignite a fire, especially when fueled by summer sunsets, the stars, and some strategically placed twinkle lights.

As the summer days stretch on, embers ignite and Mylze discovers that her wanderlust has turned into something more: a longing for a place to call home. But when pressure to sell the cabin mounts, Mylze must choose between saving her career, or selling her memories and losing Jeff in the process.
