Steve Austin

Stephen Austin is from Abilene, Texas. He earned bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in
biblical studies and ministry from Abilene Christian University. He and his wife and family
served the church in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 7 years and then an inner-city church in
Houston for 7 years. He has served as the founding director of the Texas International Bible
Institute full-time since 2005. He has edited a hymnal of praise and worship music and classic
hymns, in Spanish, Cantos del Camino, which has been distributed to every US state and every
country in Latin America. He has traveled widely in Latin America to give seminars and
conferences, to encourage and train churches and leaders. He and his wife Lynette love spending
time with their married children and one wonderful grandchild, as well as traveling with friends
to different countries. He also enjoys teaching, reading, singing, racquet sports, and golf.
